Netflix Wins Six Oscars 2023

On Sunday, Netflix made a big splash by achieving the unprecedented feat of earning six Oscars from its 16 nominations this year.

Netflix had two major wins at the 95th Academy Awards, winning the international feature film Oscar for “All Quiet on the Western Front” and its first animated feature film Oscar for “Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio.”

Among distributors and studios, Netflix had the second most nominations, with nine in total -- including seven for the hit movie, "Everything Everywhere All at Once."

The movie "All Quiet on the Western Front" directed by Edward Berger was heavily lauded at the Academy Awards, with four Oscars awarded in recognition of its international feature, cinematography, original score, and production design.

The BAFTA Awards were taken by storm when the dark and evocative adaptation of the renowned World War I novel won seven awards, the most any movie has ever won.

These awards included non-English language film, cinematography, sound, director, screenplay, best film and original score.

Netflix was victorious in the documentary short film category for their production, "The Elephant Whisperers."
