Marvin Gaye III, the eldest son of renowned singer Marvin Gaye, has taken steps toward filing for divorce from wife Wendy, two months after his apprehension on domestic violence charges.
On Tuesday, Gaye filed a case in the Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming that the differences between them were irreconcilable.
On March 16, he put his signature on the documents, indicating that him and Wendy, aged 55, had split on January 12.
As per TMZ's report on the same day, he was held on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and felony assault with a deadly weapon.
Wendy took legal action on January 17 in the wake of a reported incident, submitting a temporary restraining order that alleged Gaye had used a handgun to hurt her neck and cause emotional suffering and distress.
