Stanley Wilson Jr, son of former Bengals running back Stanley Wilson passed away after collapsing at a mental health facility in Los Angeles County.
Wilson Jr. was taken to the hospital for treatment on February 1 after being declared incompetent to stand trial following a vandalism arrest that happened in August 2022.
He is a cornerback of Detroit Lions, played from 2005 to 2008, until suffering an Achilles injury that ended his career.
Wilson Jr. played in 32 games in his pro football career, logging 87 total tackles, eight pass breakups and a forced fumble.
In 2016, he was charged with attempted burglary. He was shot in the abdomen after he allegedly attempted to break into a home in Portland while completely nude.
He was again arrested in 2017 after he was accused of walking around a Portland neighborhood while naked.
Wilson Jr. was arrested a third time in 2017 after another alleged attempted break-in.
