Gurpatwant Singh Pannun was born and raised in Khankot village, situated on the outskirts of Amritsar in Punjab, India. His father, Mohinder Singh Pannun was a dedicated employee of the Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board (PSAMB). Pannun’s mother, Amarjit Kaur contributed to his upbringing in this modest family. Pannun has two siblings, including his brother Mangwant Singh, who migrated to the United States alongside Gurpatwant.

Pannun has been actively involved in advancing the Khalistan cause on the global stage. He has organized rallies, events, and gatherings in various countries, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
