Rakesh Sahoo was born in Pattamundai Town in Odisha. He did his schooling from Jaria Baladev High School and then went to Pattamundai College, Pattamundai where he pursued his graduation degree.
During schooling, Rakesh joined a dance class named Desire Dance Studio where he learned dance from Som Patil. In 2023, Rakesh auditioned for the Star Plus dance reality show Dance + Plus where he was selected as a contestant. After that, he worked hard and gave many performances and now he is the top 4 finalist in 2024.
