Debosmita Roy was born to a Bengali Hindu family in Kolkata, West Bengal. Her father’s name is Debuprosad Roy. She is the only child of her parents. She did her schooling at Bongaon Kumudini Uchcha Balika Vidyalaya. She took admission to Sarojini Naidu College for Women, Kolkata for further studies.
