Kim made his professional debut through the teen drama television series Degrassi: Minis as Winston Chu. He became household name after portraying this character. He played same character in next projects Degrassi: The Next Generation, Degrassi: Don’t Look Back and Degrassi: Next Class.
Kim subsequently appeared in recurring roles in series like Schitt’s Creek, In Contempt, Private Eyes and Hudson & Rex. In 2018, he played the role of Dylan Edwards in CBS’s popular series Salvation.
