His father, a former central government employee, and his mother, Dr. Padmini Nagulapalli, an educationalist and a child and women’s rights activist, played significant roles in shaping his upbringing. Notably, his mother also served as the Vice President at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Hyderabad.
Maanas received his school education at Siva Sivani Public School, Visakhapatnam. Following his school years, he pursued a B. Tech. degree at Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Engineering in Hyderabad.

Career
Maanas made his acting debut as a child artist in the 2001 film Narasimha Naidu. He went on to act in films like Veede (2003), Arjun (2004) and others. His first lead role was in the 2011 Telugu film Jhalak directed by Ravi Sharma. He later worked in Telugu films like Green Signal (2014), Kaai Raja Kaai (2015), Gang Of Gabbar Singh (2015), Premikudu (2016), and Soda Goli Soda (2018).
On television, Maanas played the lead role in the 2021 Star Maa series Koilamma. He also appeared in shows like Pithrudevobhava, Bhale Chancele on Doordarshan and Deeparadhana. In 2021, he was seen in the film Ksheera Sagara Madhanam as the lead hero. The same year, he participated in Bigg Boss Telugu 5 as a contestant.
