Amyra Dastur is an Indian actress and model, who has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu cinema. She started her acting career with Bollywood film Issaq, opposite to Prateek Babbar in 2013 and rose to fame with Mr.X, Prassthanam, Made in China and Kung Fu Yoga. Amyra also worked in TV series Tandav, The Trip 2 and Dongri To Dubai.

Amyra Dastur was born on 7 May 1993 in Mumbai, in a well-to-do Parsi family. His father Gulzar Dastur is a surgeon and director at Bhatia Hospital and his mother Delna Dastur is an advertising professional. She has a younger brother named Jehangir Dastur who is a chef by profession. 

Amyra got her initial education from Cathedral and John Connon School. She further continued her higher studies at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai but left it unfinished to pursue her career in acting. She is currently doing her graduation in Arts from HR College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.

Career

Amyra always wanted to be an actress and at the age of 16 years, she started modeling. She has been featured in many big-brand commercials which brought her to fame and made it easy for her to enter the entertainment industry. Amyra worked for some of the famous brands like Micromax, Garnier, Clean and Clear, and Airtel.

She started Bollywood journey with the film Issaq, opposite male lead Prateek Babbar in 2013. Two years later, she debuted in Tamil cinema with Anegan, starring Dhanush as the main lead. The same year, Amyra appeared as the leading lady of Emraan Hashmi’s sci-fi thriller film Mr.X. After this, she grabbed another big and international project Kung Fu Yoga, featuring Jacky Chan and Disha Patani. She played the role of Kyra in the film.

During 2018-19, she appeared in many Telugu and Tamil movies. Besides, she has also worked in a web-series The Trip 2, Tandav and Dongri To Dubai.
