Drishika Chander was born in Hyderabad, Telangana, where her early education sparked a lifelong passion for learning. After studying fashion in Manhattan at the renowned Parsons School, she returned to Hyderabad where she discovered a theatre talent. Though beginning in fashion, Drishika’s interest moved naturally to acting as she fell in love with theatre performance.
Career
Drishika first featured in many modelling competitions and fashion shows also done many photoshoots for many famous clothing brands. After that, She made her acting debut while first featured in a short film named Drive which was released in 2018. In the same year, Drishika also appeared in one more short film named All About Michelle as Dr Avika Rao.
In 2022, Drishika got an opportunity to play the lead role in a romantic drama short film Manasanamaha as Chaithra. The film story is based on a young man Viraj Ashwin who narrates the story of his past relationships over the seasons. Chaithra represents his summer romance, Varsha the rains and monsoon, and Seetha the winter. The nonlinear film reveals the stories going backwards in time, with scenes moving from the ending to the beginning in reverse order.
After gaining popularity Drishika appeared in the romantic comedy-drama film Hey Kameeni which was streamed on Jio Cinema on 22 December 2023. In this film, she starred with Bhuvan Kaila.
