Career
Somashri began her acting career by first featuring in Star Jalsha’s supernatural television serial Nojor where she played a role of Ananya “Anu” Singha Roy. The serial was created by Surinder Films and also the serial was remake of Hindi serial Nazar which aired on Star Plus in 2019. After making debut in acting industry, she then featured in some serials such as Bengali historical drama serial Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni as Prasanno (2019) and romantic family drama serial Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay as Trisha (2019).
After a brief acting career, Somashri got popularity for recurring the role of Rai in popular Bengali television romantic drama soap opera Shubho Drishti, aired on Colors Bangla. This serial was directed by Rahul Mukherjee. In 2023, Somashri appeared in Zee Bangla’s drama serial Mon Dite Chai as Koyel Basu alongside Arunima Halder and Writwik.
