Cay Aliese is an ambitious 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Dandridge, Tennessee, who is married and the mother of two. After taking a full-time job in social media marketing, Cay has not let go of her dreams to share her music across the world with her family. She is part of the worship group The Deep Worship, or The Deep for short, and has already released solo music.
Aliese, daughter of the late Nolan Neal, is no stranger to the spotlight. Neal was a former contestant on The Voice and America’s Got Talent, sadly passed away in July of 2022 due to a drug overdose. To honour her father, Cay posted a heartfelt musical tribute to him just four days after his death. In it, she expressed sorrow that her dad never got to hear her sing.
Aliese opened up in a recent interview with the Knoxville News Sentinel about her own struggles with pursuing her musical dreams. She revealed that there were times when she felt a pull towards music, but didn’t want to follow in her father’s footsteps. After his passing, Aliese decided to take the plunge and auditioned for American Idol. She ultimately concluded that she was either going to pursue her passion or forget about it completely. Taking a risk, she chose to go after her dreams and live out her passion.
She has already made her mark in the music industry by releasing five singles, namely “Polish All the Pieces”, “Ruins”, “Send Me a Butterfly” and “Steady Girl”, all of which were written by her.
