Varun Dagar is an Indian Dancer, Singer and social media influencer. He has performed at many stage competitions and also was part of India’s Best Dancer show. On Monday 17 April 2023, he was allegedly thrashed by Delhi Police personnel in full public view. Varun reported that the police personnel did not even accept his explanation when he tried to explain the situation.
Varun was on his way to a dance class and was stopped by the police. He was not carrying any valid identification and hence was allegedly taken into custody and physically abused. Later on 18 April, he shared a video of him being taken away by an unidentified man to a group of men wearing police uniforms. In the video, Varun was seen getting dragged and even appeared to be beaten up.
