Kaushlendra Vikram Singh is an IAS officer He was appointed as the new collector of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on 3rd April, 2023. In 2009, Vikram became an IAS officer. Prior to his appointment as collector of Bhopal, Vikram had previously served as the collector of Gwalior. In June 2017-18, he received an Award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi from constructing homes under PM Awas Yojana.
Biography
Kaushlendra Vikram Singh was born in Maheshpur village of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh to a middle class family. His father name is Bindra Singh who is a tubewell driver in Irrigation Department. Vikram hailing from a small village went to a government school and studying through the Hindi medium, went on to become an IAS officer. After completing schooling, Vikram went to Allahabad University where he has done his further studies. His success proves that with dedication and hard work, even the highest of aspirations in life can be achieved.
During his tenure as collector of Neemuch in 2017-18, he was awarded the Excellence Award at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for successfully converting the homes constructed under the PM Awas Yojana into fully-functional ones. In 2023, Vikram has given the chance to become the Collector of the Madhya Pradesh capital city Bhopal, taking the place of Avinash Lavania.
