Caroline Kole is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She is one of the 24 contestants of American Idol 21, judged by Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Kole originally hails from Tampa, Florida.
Birth & Early Life
Caroline Kole was born on July 3, 1997 in Clearwater. Her father’s name is Matthew Broderick and mother’s name is Marie Foley Kudelko. She has a younger sister Noelle “Ellie” Kudelko in the family.
Kole started writing music when she was 8. ((Tampabay)) She studied at St. Paul’s private school briefly, where she played volleyball.
Career
At the age of 11, Kole debuted as a musician in a band during the Florida Strawberry Festival. Since then, she has become a regular performer at beach bars such as Frenchy’s, playing classic country songs under the name Suite Caroline.
She signed a publishing deal with Sony ATV at 14. Subsequently, she also joined Starstruck Records, releasing her debut EP shortly afterwards.
Kole has opened for great artists such as Charlie Daniels and Blake Shelton. Furthermore, one of her songs staked a place on the Billboard Dance Charts.
Kole has also listed with Sheryl Crow, Pat Benatar, and Dierks Bentley as inspirations in a 2014 interview with Sounds Like Nashville. She spent quite a bit of time opening for Reba.
Her songwriting skills have even been featured in the documentary, “Winter: The Dolphin That Can,” with her composition of “Winter”.
In 2023, Kole auditioned on an acoustic guitar for American Idol 21. She earned a “yes” from all three judges and was rewarded with a golden ticket to Hollywood. Elated by this chance to fulfill her dreams, Caroline Kole shared, “This is so cool! It’s a lot of almosts and I feel like I got another chance.”
