Biography
Sonakshi Kar was born on 10 June 2003 in Kolkata, West Bengal to a Bengali Hindu family. Her father’s name is Ujjwal Kar and mother’s name is Shampa Kar. Since childhood, Sonakshi wanted to become a singer and started learning music Jayant Sarkar. She also took semi-classical training from Deep Chakarborthy.
Sonakshi began her career through kids singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs Bangla aired on Zee Bangla in 2011. In 2014 she participated in Indian Idol Junior where she was among top 6 contestants. Later, she was seen in in SaReGaMaPa lil Champs aired on Zee TV channel. She became 1st runner up of the show. In 2022, Sonakshi was seen competing in Sony TV’s popular show Indian Idol.
