Indrani Tahbildar was a prominent female leader of the BJP in Assam, reportedly passed away in an apparent suicide, following the alleged circulation of intimate photos depicting her with another senior member of the party on various social media platforms. The tragic event occurred during the evening of Friday, August 12, 2023, in Guwahati’s Bamunimaidam locality.
Sources indicate that Tahbildar purportedly engaged in an extramarital relationship with another BJP official, who was residing as a tenant in her home. A number of images depicting the alleged couple were recently disseminated on the internet.
It has been suggested that the female BJP leader tragically took drastic measures in response to the exposure of her private photos to the public.

Indrani Tahbildar was born into a middle-class family in Guwahati, Assam, Indrani Tahbildar commenced her educational journey at Kendriya Vidyalaya, IOC, Noonmati, where she completed her primary schooling. Subsequently, she pursued higher education at Handique Girls College, Guwahati, and successfully obtained her undergraduate degree in 1998.
