Birth & Early Life
Aishwary Tomar was born on February 3, 2001, in Ratanpur village, Khargone district, Madhya Pradesh. He comes from a Tomar Rajput family of farmers and is the youngest of three children. Aishwary had a unique upbringing where he often went hunting with his father, Veer Bahadur, who was a landlord. It was during these hunting trips that he developed an interest in sport shooting, thanks to his cousin Navdeep Singh Rathore, who taught him the basics.
Aishwary’s formal training in shooting began in 2015 when he joined the Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy in Bhopal to pursue his passion for the sport.
Career
Aishwary Tomar is a remarkable shooter who has achieved great success in various competitions. In 2023, at the World Championships in Baku, he won a gold medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions team event.
In the ISSF World Cup held in New Delhi in 2021, Aishwary displayed his talent by securing a gold medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions event, a silver in the 10m air rifle men’s team event, and a bronze in the 50m rifle 3 positions mixed team event. His skills were further recognized at the Asian Shooting Championships in 2019, where he earned bronze medals in both the 50m rifle 3 positions and 50m rifle 3 positions team events.
