Ajinkya Rahane was born on 6 June 1988, into a middle-class family in Ashwi KD, Sangamner, Maharashtra. His father’s name is Madhukar Baburao Rahane and his mother’s name is Sujata Rahane. He also has a sister named Apurva Rahane.

When he was seven years old, his father use to take him to a local coaching camp in Dombivli because they could not afford professional training. He began receiving coaching from former India batsman Pravin Amre when he was 17 years old.

Career

Ajinkya performed admirably when the Indian under-19 team traveled to New Zealand at the beginning of 2007. Rahane made his first-class debut for Mumbai against Karachi Urban in the Mohammad Nissar Trophy in Karachi in September 2007 at the age of 19, when the majority of Mumbai’s first-choice players were unavailable due to a variety of circumstances. The innings were started by Sahil Kukreja and Ajinkya, with Kukreja contributing 110 runs for a total of 247 and Ajinkya scoring a century on his debut at 143. (207). The Irani Trophy match versus the rest of India then saw Ajinkya chosen.

He made his International debut in the Twenty20 International against England in the year 2011. In the 2014 World T20, he was part of the Indian team where he got the chance to play against Australia. He also captained India Twenty20 International against Zimbabwe.
