Ramesh Kumar was born on 1 January 1999 in Jalalabad, Punjab. His father used to sew shoes and his mother used to sell bangles. He also has two younger brothers in his family. Ramesh comes from a poor family, did not like to see his parents work like this, but he could not do anything seeing the financial condition of family.
Ramesh started cricket career by playing tennis matches in Punjab. He has won washing machines, prize money and many trophies for his performance in local matches. Ramesh has always had the support of his guru Amit ji who also used to play tennis ball cricket. His life completely changed when Kolkata Knight Riders brought him for IPL 2022 in 20 lakhs.
