Rasik Salam was born on 5 April 2000 in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. His father, Abdul Salam Ashmuji, is a teacher in Kulgam district. Irfan Pathan, seeing the talent inside Rasik, wanted to make him even better cricketer. Rasik is the third best cricketer of Jammu and Kashmir who played at international level.

Cricket Career
Rasik has given his best performance while playing for Jammu and Kashmir. He made his List-A debut on 3 October 2018 while playing against Rajasthan. Rasik made his Ranji Trophy first class debut on 30 December 2018 and made his T20 debut in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20 on 22 February 2019 against Jharkhand.
