Biography

Namrata Purohit was born on 24 August 1993 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is daughter of Samir Purohit and Nandini Purohit. Her father Samir is also a celebrity fitness trainer. He has been a fitness consultant to Voltas, Standard Chartered, Morgan Stanley, Hindustan Lever, Tata consultancy services etc. Namrata’s mother Nandini is heart and soul of the Pilates studio, Nandini Purohit handles not only the studio but the father daughter duo too.

Namrata studied in Jai Hind College & Loughborough University. She is one of the few instructors of India who completed all the stott pilates courses and she is youngest them all. She is a certified pilates instructor.

She wants to become a squash player but she fell from horse during horse riding in age of 16. She had undergone for knee surgery that was ended her career in squash. After horrible accident she was continually suffering from joint pain. Her father suggests her to take training in Pilates. After 4 days, his knee pain was cured.

After that incident she finds her goal in Pilates. She opens her pilates training club nemed “The Pilates Studio” in Santacruz West. Namrata trains people from all fields including popular Bollywood celebrities, sport personalities as well as industrialists.
