Her mother is the founder of Indian Television Academy. She has an elder sister Anushka Ranjan Kapoor, who is also an actor by profession.
Kapoor completed her schooling in Jamnabai Narsee School. After her schooling she received an acting diploma from Whistling Woods and later pursued one year course at ITA school of Performing Arts. She currently lives in Mumbai.
