Fatima Sana Shaikh is an Indian film actress. She is known for playing lead role of Geeta Phogat in Amir Khan starrer biographical drama film Dangal. Fatima Sana Shaikh was born on 11 January 1992 in Hyderabad and brought up in Mumbai. Her father Vipan Sharma is Kashmiri following Hinduism and her mother Raj Tabassum is from Srinagar following Islamic cultural. Fatima finished her schooling from St. Xavier’s High School, Mumbai. After her schooling she admitted in Mithibai College, Mumbai for further studies.

Career
Fatima made her acting debut in 1997 as a child artist in the movie Chachi 420 as daughter of male protagonist, which performed by veteran actor Mr. Kamal Hassan and her mothers role portrayed by actress Tabu. She worked several films as child artist such as Bade Dilwala, One 2 ka 4. She did Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo TV serial as her debut show on television, she played Suman. Her more shows were Best of Luck Nikki and Ladies Special.
She made her acting debut as mature actress in 2008 from movie Tahaan as Zoya. In 2012, she did character of Priya in Bittoo Boss and Sumbul in Akaash Vani (2013). Her Telugu film debut in 2015, Nuvvu Menu Okkatavudam as Sruti. Her biggest blockbuster was sports based biographic movie Dangal as lead character Geeta Phogat a gold medalist in 2010 Commonwealth Games. In 2018, her movie Thugs of Hindostan was the biggest opening of the year 2018. She played Pinky in Ludo (2020) released on OTT platform Netflix and her recently released Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari opposite to Diljit Dosanjh and Manoj Bajpayee.
