Kamaia started acting career as a child artist in national commercials at the age of 9. She started her career in the year 2014 with the movie titled Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B (2014) which follows the story of music star Aaliyah and her tragical life ending in the Bahamas. After that, she was seen in the TV series Supergirl (2016) and Holly Hobbie (2019).
In 2018, she appeared in various TV series such as Odd Squad, which has won over 47 awards and 115 nominations, and Star Falls where she played the character of Diamond Brooks, the series was directed by George Doty IV.
From 2020 to 2021, she played the character Julia in the TV series Endlings, which is created by Anthony Q. Farrell. She also worked in the series Holly Hobbie for which got nominated as the best actress by the Joey Awards.
In 2022, she casted in the series Netflix comedy series Blockbuster where she played the role of Kayla. The story of it revolves around what it takes for a small business to succeed.
