Rohit Godara is a notorious gangster with a history of criminal activities. He has claimed responsibility for the on-camera murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the chief of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena.
The incident unfolded at Mr. Gogamedi’s residence in Jaipur, where he was shot multiple times by two individuals who were seemingly having tea with him. As the video of the shocking shoot-out went viral, Godara, believed to be residing in Canada, took to Facebook to assert his involvement in the high-profile assassination.

Gogamedi died, while one of his security personnel and another person were injured in the firing.

Rohit Godara’s Criminal Profile
Hailing from Lunakaran in Bikaner, Rohit Godara is a fugitive with a notorious criminal record, currently suspected to be in Canada. With more than 32 cases registered against him at various police stations across India, Godara has been involved in extortion rackets targeting businessmen in Rajasthan. His demands ranged from ₹5 crore to ₹17 crore, illustrating the audacity of his criminal pursuits.
Godara is the prime accused in the murder of gangster Raju Thehat in Sikar last year, an act for which he openly claimed responsibility in a Facebook post. He attributed Thehat’s elimination to the deaths of gangsters Anandpal Singh and Balveer Banuda.
Additionally, Godara is implicated in the sensational murder of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29 of the previous year.
Having fled to Dubai from New Delhi on a fake passport under the alias ‘Pawan Kumar’ on June 13, 2022, Godara is now the subject of an Interpol Red Notice circular.
Who is Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi?
Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was the founder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. He parted ways with Shri Rajput Karni Sena in 2015 due to differences with its founder Lokendra Singh Kalvi. Not to be confused with the outfit that led protests against the 2018 film ‘Padmaavat,’ Gogamedi’s organization became the platform for his activism.
The Assassination
Around 12:30 pm on the fateful day, Gogamedi’s security detail engaged in a firefight with a group of assailants at his Jaipur residence. The security team managed to neutralize one of the attackers, while the remaining assailants fled the scene on a motorcycle they had stolen at gunpoint from outside the Rajput leader’s residence.
