Who is Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi?
Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was the founder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. He parted ways with Shri Rajput Karni Sena in 2015 due to differences with its founder Lokendra Singh Kalvi. Not to be confused with the outfit that led protests against the 2018 film ‘Padmaavat,’ Gogamedi’s organization became the platform for his activism.
Around 12:30 pm on the fateful day, Gogamedi’s security detail engaged in a firefight with a group of assailants at his Jaipur residence. The security team managed to neutralize one of the attackers, while the remaining assailants fled the scene on a motorcycle they had stolen at gunpoint from outside the Rajput leader’s residence.
