He started his career by joining hip hop group Mafia Mundeer of Yo Yo Honey Singh in 2006. Later he left the band and released individual song Haryanvi song Kar Gayi Chull, in 2012. Badshah was born on 19 November, 1985 in New Delhi. His real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia. He received his schooling from Bal Bharti Public School in Delhi. He was a part of the Banaras Hindu University for a period of one month as a math student, however, he transferred to Punjab Engineering College to pursue civil engineering. It was during his college years that he discovered rap as a way of expressing himself.

Career
Badshah started his music career in the music industry in 2006 by being a part of YoYo Honey Singh’s hip hop group called Mafia Mundeer. However, this did not last and Badshah began producing his own music. His first song came out in 2012. Ever since, Badshah has released several chartbuster singles and duos like Wakhra Swag, DJ Waley Babu, Proper Patola, Saturday Saturday, Lover Boy, Buzz, etc. featuring renowned singing sensations. Many of his singles have been adopted into Bollywood movies and have become some of the all-time Hits.
Badshah has composed music for many blockbuster Bollywood movies like ABCD 2, Fugly, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, etc. starring actors like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Fawad Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
