Raj Sharma was born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Raj’s father Rajesh Upadhyay is a bus conductor. He comes from a middle class hindu brahmin family. Raj who lives Gwalior since childhood, had come to Shivpuri to study with his maternal uncle Devendra Sharma (aka David) and started learning dance tricks from his dance academy at the age of 8.
Initially Raj made a mark of his dance talent with various festival cultural ceremonies and then he did not look back. Till now he auditioned for many dance shows but did not succeed in reaching the final level. In 2020, he appeared in the top 12 contestants of the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer. The show earned him fame in the dance industry.
