Career
Maitreyi started learning acting from 10th grade in her school. She became a part of school production Footloose and played a lead role. Her first professional acting role came in 2020 in the Netflix drama series Never Have I Ever. In 2019, she gave an audition for an open casting call for the show and got selected out of 15000 candidates who applied for the audition. She also made her appearance in one of the episodes of the TV show called Sidewalks Entertainment in 2020. Maitreyi narrated the Children’s Programming proportion of the 8th Canadian Screen Awards. She has also received the nomination from Independent Spirit Award in 2021 for her role in Never Have I Ever. She is working on her current project The Netherfield Girls which will be aired on Netflix.
