While mother Seema Singh is a homemaker and left her job to raise children. It was she who encouraged her to dance. Shagun got dance training under Anil Tandi at Nritya Shiromani in Durg.

Career
Shagun Singh began her career as a dancer through the reality show Super Dancer Chapter 2 in the year 2017. She got immense popularity with the show and reached to top 5 finalist of the show. Later, she also participated in the show India’s Got Talent season 7.
Shagun made her acting debut with the TV serial Ashish Chhathi Maiya in 2020. The same year, she got the opportunity to appear in SAB TV’s show Balveer Returns starring Dev Joshi. She also played episodic roles in the TV serial Ek Mahanayak Dr. BR Ambedkar. In 2023, she played a titular role in Dangal TV’s Mast Mauli alongside Shahwar Ali.
