Vidya has completed her law studies from Mumbai and worked as an air hostess in Lufthansa Airlines before becoming an actress.

Vidya Malvade started her career with the film Inteha in the year 2003. After this she also acted in films like Mashooka, Chak De India, Benaam, Tum Milo Toh, Aap Ke Liye Hum, No Problem, 1920: Evil Returns and Heartbeats etc. She gained immense popularity with film Chak De India in which she played the captain of Indian National Women Hockey Team.
Vidya also very active in television industry and worked in popular TV shows including Family No. 1, Darr Sabko Lagta Hai, The Family etc. Recently she also appeared in ZEE5 Original’s web series, Kaali 2 in 2020, followed by Eros Now’s Flesh.
