She rose to fame when she played the role of Goddess Parvati in Indian television serial Vighnaharta Ganesha in 2017. Akanksha has also acted in films like Calendar Girls, Alex Pandian, Praise the Lord and Lodde.
Biography
Akanksha was born on 26th July 1988 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh to RK Puri and Chitra Puri. She finished her schooling and graduated from college in her hometown. Apart from acting and modelling Akanksha has great interest in dancing. Although Akanksha wanted to become an actress from younger age, she was an international cabin crew for Kingfisher Airlines before she started modelling and acting.
Akanksha first appeared in Tamil movie Alex Pandian in 2013 followed by Tihar and Praise the lord (Malayalam). She made her debut in Bollywood with Calendar Girls in 2015. Her other notable films are Action(2019), Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander(2015), Amar Akbar Anthony(2015) and Lodde(2015). Apart from playing the role of Mata Parvati in Vighnaharta Ganesh she has appeared on various TV shows.
